ABOUT
Micah Giovanni is a 23-year-old Indie-Rock Singer/Songwriter & Actor. A beacon for the LGBTQ+ community, he identifies as gender non-conforming & is comfortable with any pronouns. Born in the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii, he has had the benefit of being raised in an island community, as well as living his teenage years in the busy city of Los Angeles. Teetering between these two extremes, he has been able to find his own unique voice, using this contrast as inspiration.
In 2015, he & his family moved from their little island home to the city of Los Angeles, where he joined a life changing music school “Paramount Academy of Music” (aka PAM). They provided him with incredible opportunities to study & learn music, including performing on-stage with several iconic bands & musical artists - such as Tom Morello from “Rage Against the Machine”, the amazing guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, & the British-American rock band “America”. These experiences ignited his passion to learn multiple instruments over the next few years & he continued this devotion with songwriting & production classes at Pasadena City College.
Micah began to write & perform his original songs at different venues around LA going on to develop his own unique style & sound. He writes of personal, yet universal themes, combined with a lyrical depth & a creative vision rarely seen in someone so young. Immersed in music daily he thrives on all the aspects of being a musical artist. Everything starts in his bedroom studio from writing, to recording, & then producing. His style is heavily influenced by 90's alternative rock & inspired by artists such as Radiohead, Elliott Smith, Smashing Pumpkins, Fiona Apple, & Lorde (to name a few). He says he appreciates true artistry & courageous experimentation during the creation process.
Micah’s dedication to music is just as relevant as his devotion to acting. He has studied acting techniques & improv at numerous schools around LA & continually strives to expand his skillset. He most recently had a lead role in “The Comic Shop" which was filmed in Las Vegas & is a sweet indie film about believing in yourself & your dreams, no matter what the odds are. In 2024 he had a featured role in the thriller movie " The Girl in the Pool” starring Freddie Prinze Jr. One of his favorite moments was working alongside John Travolta & Bruce Willis “Paradise City”. This movie was filmed on his island home of Maui in 2021. It was a wonderful full circle moment to be able to return to Maui & film where he was born. An experience he says he will never forget. He has also appeared in guest star roles on TV shows such as Showtime’s “Black Monday” & Nickelodeon’s “Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, & Dawn”.
Micah Giovanni has more on the horizon so definitely keep your eyes & ears open for what's next! He is perpetually immersed in producing, elevating his unique sound, & creating new music.
